Safety
Maintaining safe work sites and promoting a culture of safety is a process, not something that can be done once and then checked off the list. We continue to educate our employees and sub-contractors to promote healthy and safe working conditions.
- Employees receive 10 hours of OSHA safety training
- Supervisors have all received 30 hour OSHA safety training
- Regular jobsite meetings address safety concerns identified by jobsite supervisors, employees and sub-contractors
- Use of safety consultants to advise on best practices and particular hazards relative to specific projects
- Advanced training provided to individuals operating man lifts and forklifts.
These practices help to create a culture of safety awareness and respect. In addition to proactive identification of safety issues, we let our employees know that we care about their safety and health. All of our employees receive health insurance coverage through Zachau Construction. We look out for our crew and we expect that they will look out for themselves and each other when on the jobsite. Creating a culture where individuals are actively identifying safety hazards and being proactive about mitigating those hazards is paramount to reducing jobsite injuries and keeping our jobsites safe.
