Created an advanced, multi-use entertainment venue that celebrates its location’s commercial heritage with clean, industrial style

Preserving the best of the past in a fun and flexible hotspot was the key to Bayside Bowl’s striking success. Zachau honored the new alley’s historical roots in the manufacturing district it occupies by crafting the custom railings, millwork, and exposed lighting that echoes the building’s bygone factory days. Interior spaces were constructed with an eye on the functional flow between twelve lanes of 10-pin bowling, a live stage area, and a custom-designed bar-in-the-round that features a full array of beer taps and floating liquor shelf. The final space now serves as the destination for the league bowling, private parties, and other community events that have made Bayside Bowl ground zero for trendsetters in Maine’s largest town.
