The Equinox is a newly constructed 41,437 square foot affordable housing development offering 43 apartments, ranging from efficiencies to three-bedroom units, in Portland, Maine. Part of the larger Mercy Redevelopment project, The Equinox provides much-needed affordable housing for individuals and families, including those supported by local service providers.

The building features a community room and kitchen, on-site laundry, indoor bike and stroller storage, resident services offices, and outdoor gathering space. Conveniently located near public transportation, schools, and healthcare, the development offers easy access to essential neighborhood resources.

Completed in Fall 2024, The Equinox is fossil fuel-free and designed to meet rigorous Passive House performance standards, supporting long-term energy efficiency and resident comfort.
